 Are you thinking about doing some first time machine quilting? Then this is the class for you! Judy has an easy, creative way to doodle designs on your quilts with no marking, sore shoulders, or quilter's block. A no pressure, painless class to give you the push you need to finish all those tops waiting to be quilted. This is a hands-on, non-technical class for all levels. Let's have some fun!

  Landscape Quilting

 You will learn the techniques of "raw-edge" appliqué and the freedom of cutting fabric without templates. After cutting the elements of the landscape and temporarily attaching them to your canvas, you will then use your machine to free-motion appliqué the landscape pieces down. Once you learn this technique you can go on to create wonderful one of-a-kind art quilts.

 Elizabeth will teach you the basics of quilting as well as some fun techniques. You will learn to sew a 4 Patch, Rail Fence, Flying Geese, and Friendship star. This is a new 4 week beginning quilting class.

 Piece blocks without a pattern? No measuring? How is that possible? Judy will show you how to let your creativity flow! It's a technique class and it's fun! You will make several different blocks, and later you can put them together in a quilt top.

Diana has had lots of fun teaching this class in Portland and Vancouver and has agreed to come to the Shoppe to teach it to us! The pattern uses large scale focus fabric, such as large florals, novelty prints and landscapes. Mixing the "Pizzazz" with the 9-Patch results in some amazing looking quilts!

Learn the fundamentals of choosing fabrics, contrast, cutting and piecing. Do it easily and accurately using great tools! Finish your quilt with borders and binding.
